Church Timeline
1984
– Representatives of The American Lutheran Church met with
several Zionsville area families to explore the possibility of starting
a Lutheran congregation in Zionsville.
September 16, 1984 – The first worship service
was held at the Eagle Elementary School in Zionsville.
1985
– Congregation Purchased four acres of land located on North
Ford Road as a building site for new church.
August 28, 1988 – Congregation held groundbreaking
ceremony to begin construction of the first unit building.
April
9, 1989 – Christ Church congregation began worship
and study in the new building.
October
20, 1991 – Congregation again gathered for a groundbreaking
ceremony to begin construction of new education wing.
May
31, 1992 – The education wing was completed and dedicated,
more than doubling the size of the original first unit building.
June
1997 – Rev. E. Dean Windhorn resigned.
January
1998 – Congregation called Rev. Dr. Steven E. Albertin
as pastor.
October
2007 – Building Mission-Mission Building. Construction
begins!
