Welcome to Christ Church!
Welcome! On behalf of the Evangelism Committee and our members, I would like to welcome you to our web site and encourage you to join us for worship. Christ Church is a wonderful place to connect with other Christians to serve, proclaim, reflect and celebrate Christ. We would love to have you consider us as your church home!

Inquiry Class Has Begun
Wednesdays, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, in the Luther Room Christ Church is a place that boldly proclaims the Christian Faith but does it in such a way that encourages people to ask questions. If you have questions about the Christian Faith or the Lutheran Church, perhaps the Inquiry Class is for you. Pastor Albertin is currently meeting with people who are thinking about making Christ Church the place where they will continue their spiritual journey by becoming a member. There are also those who are already members but want to ask more questions about the Christian faith. If you join the class, you will discover that no questions are “out of bounds.” You will learn about the unique contribution that the Lutheran movement has to make to the Christian Church and how Christ Church seeks to make that happen. Come and join the discussion. Posted on Friday, January 27, 2012 |
Why Is Our Website So... Green?
Beginning January 15, 2012 We are celebrating the weeks following the Epiphany of our Lord! Christ has come to bring us light and life, to teach us and to lead us to our heavenly Father. The color green represents our growth in faith as we follow the teachings and ministry of Christ. Green also represents the springing forth of new life in the resurrection of Christ. We decorate our altar with the special mosaic shown to the right. Click the banner to view as full size. |
Pastor's Latest Sermon!
The Exorcist I dislike shopping for cars. I dislike the aggressive salesman whom I fear is going to get the best of me. From the minute I walk into the showroom, I feel like I am at war. The first thing a salesman wants from me is my name. He doesn’t want to know my name because he wants to be my friend but because he wants to make a sale. When he knows my name, he can control me in ways he could not do if I remained anonymous. That is his ultimate objective: to be in control in such a way that I think I am in control and getting a good deal when in fact he is control and getting a good deal. The only thing I can do to hold him off is not tell him my name. Posted on Sunday, January 29, 2012 |
