Director of Early Childhood Ministry

Christine Felde, Master of Arts in Education           /           873-3232 (ECM office)           /           ecm@zionsvillelutheran.org

Christine has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education from Concordia University, Chicago. Her teaching experience has been varied and includes starting and operating a Lutheran preschool as well as teaching Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech College. She loves children and learning! In her “spare time” she enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with her family.

Toddlers 1 Teacher

Kristen Marbeiter

Kristen has recently moved from Arizona to Indianapolis. She has an AA degree from Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. For five years she has been working at a YMCA child care and also as a YMCA lifeguard and swimming instructor. She also worked for some time as a teacher at a Kinder Care. She is gentle and caring, loves children and is looking forward to teaching our little ones here.

K. Jean Runyan

Karen has a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Indianapolis. She worked in the world of finance for some time but has more years of experience in education. She has taught Algebra and ASL (American Sign Language), and has done private tutoring. She is active in her home congregation, teaching Sunday School and interpreting sermons for the deaf every Sunday. She enjoys spending time with her family.

Toddlers 2 Teacher

Kim Kelly

Kim has a BS in Consumer Affairs and Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University. After some time working in the insurance business, she turned her talents and time to the children’s ministries at her former parish in Wisconsin. She taught in several capacities and then served as the Director of Christian Education. Kim is currently enrolled in classes studying Early Childhood Education. She loves to read, ride horses and spend time with family.

Toddlers 2 Teaching Assistant

Debbie Leak

Debbie has a BS in Zoology from Butler University. She worked for fifteen years as an educational assistant in her local elementary school in Wisconsin before relocating here. She enjoys working with children, camping with her family and gardening.

Threes and Fours Teacher

Pam Domogalik

Pam has a BS in Early Childhood Education from Marian College. She has taught Kindergarten and Preschool for nine years, in church schools, and most recently worked in the Pike Township schools. She enjoys reading, singing, and, of course, glitter with three and four year olds.

Claire Fisher

Claire has a BA and an MBA in finance and has worked in the world of finance. She also has experience in working with children and teaching and she loves children. She has taught Sunday School, was and is an active parent in the raising and education of her children, and is an active Bible study member and leader in the Methodist church. She and her husband live here in Zionsville with their two children.

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Wendy Svenstrup

Wendy has a BS in Physical Education and Health (K-12) from Indiana State University. She has taught in several preschools, including sixteen years at St. Mary’s Preschool in Lafayette, IN. While at St. Mary’s, she introduced and taught the Zoo-Phonics program, (for sound-recognition of letters leading to pre-reading). She uses this curriculum along with the Christ-centered curriculum here at ECM now. She has also had several of her teaching ideas published in the premiere journal for preschool educators, The Mailbox Magazine.
